What we do

Handheld Index participates in affiliate programs operated by Amazon, AliExpress, and specific hardware vendors (Anbernic, Retroid, Keychron, and others). When you click certain outbound links and make a purchase, we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.

Why it matters

Affiliate commissions fund new device purchases for hands-on review. Without them, review samples would be the only option — and samples come with strings attached.

How it affects coverage

It doesn't. We review devices based on how they perform, not based on commission rate. Our worst reviews are still posted for affiliate-supported devices when the device fails testing.

How to spot affiliate links

Every article with affiliate links includes a disclosure at the top or bottom. Amazon links typically contain a tag parameter (?tag=); AliExpress links typically include ?aff_.

FTC / EU compliance

We follow the US FTC endorsement guidelines and EU consumer protection rules regarding affiliate disclosure.
